    • 라. 학제 간 연구실적 : 본 센터는 사범대학 내 여러 학과 간의 학제 간 연구를 기반으로 운영된다. 센터에서 진행되는 과제는 연구 대상을 고려하여 각 학과의 특성에 따라 분담되며, 개별로 분담된 과제들은 최종적으로 센터를 통해 통합되는 과정을 거친다. 이를 위해 본 센터에서는 정기적 또는 비정기적으로 전체 연구진 회의를 개최하고 있으며, 집담회, 전문가 연찬회, 전문가 협의회 등 학제 간 연구의 장점을 살리기 위한 다양한 사업을 진행하고 있다.

    • D. Interdisciplinary Research Achievements:The Center functions through an interdisciplinary research framework that encompasses multiple departments within the College of Education. Research initiatives are allocated in accordance with the specific attributes of each department, taking into account the nature of the research topics. These distinct projects are subsequently synthesized through the Center. To enhance this collaborative process, the Center routinely or periodically convenes meetings that include all researchers, and organizes colloquia, expert workshops, and advisory councils aimed at optimizing the benefits of interdisciplinary research.

다문화교육연구센터의 규정 및 기구표

  • 1) 센터 소개자료 (Introduction to the Center)
    • 다문화·다민족 사회로 변화하고 있는 한국 사회에 적합한 교육정책을 수립하고, 다문화교육 프로그램과 자료를 개발해야 할 필요성에 따라, 2007년 서울대학교에 ‘다문화교육연구센터’(SNU Center for Multicultural Education Research)가 설립되었다.

    • 본 센터는 다문화교육의 기반을 다지는 다양한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 주요 연구 과제로는 다문화교육 정책 연구, 다문화가정 자녀와 교사를 위한 교재 개발, 문화다양성 인식 개선을 위한 교육 내용 및 방법 개발, 다문화교육을 담당할 교원 양성을 위한 기반 구축 등이 있으며, 이를 통해 보다 체계적인 다문화교육이 이루어지도록 힘쓰고 있다.

    • 오늘날 한국 사회는 다양한 인종과 문화가 공존하는 새로운 사회로 나아가야 한다는 시대적 요구에 직면해 있다. 이러한 변화에 부응하기 위해, 다문화교육연구센터는 다음과 같은 역할을 수행하고자 한다. 먼저, 다문화 가정에 대한 문화적 편견을 해소하고, 우리 사회 구성원들이 문화 다양성을 이해할 수 있도록 돕는다. 또한, 다문화 가정의 자녀들을 미래 한국 사회의 시민으로 바라보고, 그들이 자아를 실현할 수 있도록 지원한다. 이러한 활동을 통해 본 센터는 한국 사회가 포용적이고 조화로운 다문화 선진국으로 발전하는데 기여하고자 한다.

    • In response to the imperative of developing educational policies that are appropriate for a multicultural and multiethnic Korean society, as well as the creation of multicultural education programs and resources, the Center for Multicultural Education Research (SNU Center for Multicultural Education Research) was established at Seoul National University in 2007. 

    • The Center engages in a comprehensive array of research initiatives aimed at establishing a robust foundation for multicultural education. Key research endeavors encompass investigations into multicultural education policies, the creation of instructional materials for children and educators from multicultural backgrounds, the development of educational content and methodologies designed to enhance awareness of cultural diversity, and the establishment of a framework for training educators capable of leading multicultural education initiatives. Through these initiatives, the Center aspires to foster a more systematic approach to multicultural education.

    • Currently, Korean society is confronted with a historical necessity to transform into a community where diverse races and cultures coexist harmoniously. In addressing this challenge, the Center aims to fulfill several critical roles: firstly, to eradicate cultural biases against multicultural families and to facilitate societal understanding of cultural diversity; secondly, to recognize children from multicultural families as future citizens of Korean society and to support their potential realization. Through these efforts, the Center seeks to contribute to the evolution of Korea into an inclusive and harmonious multicultural society.

다문화교육연구센터의 특징

  • 3) 다문화교육연구센터의 특징 (Characteristics of the Center for Multicultural Education Research)
    • 본 센터는 서울대학교 교육종합연구원 산하의 ‘다문화교육연구센터’로서 활동하고 있다. 본 센터는 다문화교육과 관련된 다양한 과제를 수행하며, 연구 및 정책 개발에 주력해 왔다. 또한 실제 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 교사 연수 프로그램도 운영해 왔다. 이러한 활동을 통해 연구와 정책 개발뿐만 아니라 현장 실무를 지원하고, 다문화 교육의 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 사업들도 진행해 왔다. 중장기적으로는 다문화교육과 관련된 여러 기관의 중심 허브로 기능하고, 다양한 이해관계자 간의 협력과 네트워크를 강화하기 위해 지속적으로 준비하며, 이를 통해 새로운 방향과 비전을 제시하고자 노력하고 있다.

    • The Center for Multicultural Education Research, affiliated with the Seoul National University Institute for Educational Research, engages in a diverse array of projects centered on multicultural education, with an emphasis on research and policy formulation. Additionally, the Center administers teacher training programs that are directly applicable to educational practice. Through these initiatives, the Center not only facilitates research and policy development but also enhances the practical application of multicultural education, with the objective of optimizing the effectiveness of related initiatives. In the medium to long term, the Center aspires to serve as a pivotal hub for organizations involved in multicultural education, fostering collaboration and networking among various stakeholders, while consistently preparing to propose innovative directions and visions for the field.
